** Position Summary
** The Theology Teacher plays an essential role within the Catholic school community by delivering a curriculum that fosters spiritual growth, intellectual development, and moral formation in students. This position involves teaching theology and religious studies, guiding students in their faith journeys, and helping them develop a deep understanding of Catholic teachings and values. The Theology Teacher will engage with students, families, and faculty to create a supportive and faith-filled learning environment that aligns with the school’s mission.

** What You’ll Do
*** Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging theology courses, ensuring alignment with Catholic teachings and diocesan standards.
* Promote and uphold the Catholic identity of the school by incorporating faith-based perspectives across all lessons and activities.
* Serve as a spiritual mentor to students, providing guidance on moral, ethical, and religious questions.
* Support and participate in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and other faith-based activities.
* Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate Catholic values and theology across the curriculum.
* Build relationships with students, families, and the broader school community, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
* Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on theological teachings and best practices in religious education.
* Provide regular assessments, feedback, and support to students to encourage their academic and spiritual growth.
* Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and faculty meetings as required.
** Who You Are
*** Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Demonstrated knowledge of Catholic theology, doctrine, and liturgical practices.
* Prior teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based school setting.
* Active participation in the Catholic Church, with a commitment to promoting and living Catholic values.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students in their faith journeys.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration. Preferred
Skills:
* Experience in developing faith-based curriculum and lesson plans.
* Familiarity with digital tools and resources for religious education.
* Strong pastoral care skills, with a passion for nurturing students’ spiritual growth.
