Simaero is looking for a proficient Simulator Technician who shall be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of Full Flight Simulators and associated training equipment.
MissionThe role involves diagnosing and resolving technical faults, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring that all simulator systems meet the required standards of reliability, serviceability, and safety.
Responsibilities- Ensure timely implementation and operational readiness of simulators as per the scheduled plan.
- Respond promptly to client requests to resolve technical issues during or outside of training sessions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair various hardware/software faults on simulators and associated systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Use built-in software tools for diagnostics, updates, and calibration tasks.
- Assist in understanding and execution of Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
- Accurately document interventions and maintenance actions in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, raise requests as needed.
- Maintain supporting infrastructure, including tools, test equipment, and facilities to the required safety and operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and report any safety-related issues in line with the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Provide direct technical support to internal and external customers, ensuring high levels of service quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or IT
- Candidates with a B.E in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/IT may be considered for Senior Technician roles.
- 2–5 years of relevant hands-on experience working on Full Flight Simulators (FFS), preferably Level
D. - Strong technical knowledge in electronics, computer systems, and hydraulics.
- Hands-on ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex technical systems.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply units, etc.).
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tools for tracking maintenance activities and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of programming or automation systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
- Team-oriented and customer-focused.
- Willingness to stay up to date with industry developments and simulator technologies.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written (for working with international clients and technical documentation).
