Job SummaryThe Social Worker, BSW is responsible for assisting patients with understanding how to utilize health care and social welfare resources to obtain optimal care.

Job Specific ResponsibilitiesBachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field.
Required Licensures/Certifications/RegistrationsLBSW/LMSW - Licensed Baccalaureate or Licensed Master Social Worker licensed in Texas by the Texas Board of Social Work Examiners. Active temporary license acceptable if permanent license is obtained before expiration. Proof of passing examination score provided by the Association of Social Work Boards.
Skills and Abilities- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and prioritize workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with empathy and influence.
Requires interaction with medical staff and allied health partners.
Physical CapabilitiesVisual and auditory acuity required. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
Environmental/Working ConditionsIndoor environment with possible temperature variations.
