Job Summary and QualificationsThe Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Schedule
:
Thursday-Saturday, 7:00am-7:00pm
- You will prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
- You will develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
- You will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
- You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
- You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
- Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.
- Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program).
- BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
