About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, process-driven leader with strong problem-solving and communication skills to manage our data operations team and ensure flawless delivery of social listening projects. The Data Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end data workflow for social listening and social media research projects. This role is responsible for managing workload allocation, ensuring data quality, building and standardizing QC processes, and acting as the primary liaison between the Data team, Research/Insights teams, and Technical/Engineering stakeholders.

The Data Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring that social data deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Data Quality & Process Control (35%)
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in tagging/sentiment.
    • Build and maintain QC frameworks, SOPs, and validation checklists.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
  • Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Collaboration (30%)
    • Act as the primary liaison between Data Ops, Research, and Tech
    • Troubleshoot data incidents (e.g., feed/API errors, duplicates, missing coverage).
    • Provide timely updates and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
  • Project & Team Management (25%)
    • Plan and allocate resources across multiple social listening projects.
    • Monitor workload, timelines, and delivery status to meet SLAs.
    • Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of data analysts/QC staff.
  • Process Improvement & Automation (10%)
    • Identify bottlenecks and propose process optimizations.
    • Implement automation tools or scripts to improve efficiency.
    • Track and report operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Promotion:
Can be promoted to Senior Data Operations Manager

Qualifications

Education / Knowledge

  • Solid background in data operations, including workflow design, process documentation, and end-to-end data management (from ingestion to delivery).
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks: validation rules, QC sampling methods, and error classification.

Skills

  • Project management: workload planning, timeline tracking, stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Experience

  • 7+ years in data operations / research operations, preferably within market research or social listening.
  • Minimum 2 years of team management experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality, large-scale data projects under tight deadlines.

Personality

  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
  • Proactive mindset: anticipates problems and proposes solutions before escalation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: able to collaborate effectively across Research and Technical teams.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
