Seekers Guidance is a digital‑first institution, meaning our technology is our campus. As the Technology Manager, you are the architect of that campus. You aren’t just “fixing issues” or overseeing updates—you are building the digital infrastructure that delivers sacred knowledge to millions of students worldwide. From our Learning Management System (LMS) to our mobile app and donor systems, you will lead the strategy, security, and innovation that keeps our global mission online and accessible.
What You’ll Do:1. Lead the Tech Strategy
- Own the technology roadmap. You will translate organizational goals into scalable, secure architecture
- Manage the “big picture” of our stack (hosting, cloud infrastructure, security compliance) and vendor relationships
- Lead the technology department, fostering a culture of collaboration and tracking progress via Basecamp
- Drive the evolution of our Moodle‑based LMS. You will make the student journey seamless, intuitive, and engaging
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the Seekers Guidance mobile app
- Innovate: experiment with AI‑based support systems and unified search tools
- Ensure our Word Press ecosystem is robust, fast, and secure
- Lead SEO strategies and technical performance optimization to ensure our content reaches the widest possible audience
- Collaborate with the Outreach team to optimize the user flows for course registrations and donations
- Serve as the guardian of our data. You are responsible for daily backups, security protocols, and GDPR compliance
- Maintain and improve integrations with our CRM (Nation Builder) to ensure donor data is accurate and usable
- Build internal dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into key metrics
- System Uptime: Maintain 99.9% uptime across the LMS and main website
- Performance: Consistently meet or exceed Core Web Vitals standards for page load speeds and mobile responsiveness
- Project Delivery: Execute key roadmap items (e.g., App updates, LMS features) on schedule
- Security: Zero critical security breaches or data loss incidents
- A Full‑Stack Leader: You have 5+ years of experience managing web‑based systems and are comfortable leading a technical team
- The Subject‑Matter Expert: You have deep expertise in Word Press and Moodle LMS, along with working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, and cloud platforms (AWS/Digital Ocean)
- User-Centric: You understand UI/UX principles and know that great code is useless if the user experience is confusing
- Strategic & Hands‑On: You can plan a 12‑month roadmap, but you aren’t afraid to dive into the backend to troubleshoot a critical issue
- Mission‑Driven: Experience in the nonprofit or education sector is a major plus. You are motivated by using tech for social good
