Data Scientist, Machine Learning/ ML Engineer
YOUR MISSION:
Provide the best roadsideassistanceexperience to stranded drivers in need and dispatch experience to our service providers. You will build systems to forecast market dynamics, vet and test business ideas using A/B testing framework and improve machine learning algorithms. Working at the intersection of Product, Data Engineering, and Platform Engineering, you will develop data products and shape product strategy for our business units, stakeholders and partners.

- Understand the roadsideassistancebusiness and the company’s software
- Understand the goals and responsibilities of Product Management

- Understand existing data science models and any caveats on those models.
- Build best-in-class predictive models and decision tools
- Research & Development in transportation or roadside industries to improve cost and performance
- Prioritize and balance data science research and speed of its implementation
- Develop Proof-of-Concept ideas using data, datascienceand human behavior to improve our business processes
- Identify issues and recommend testable improvements to different aspects of the business
- Work with data engineering and infrastructure to get the data you need
- Build and improve algorithms, MLpipelinesand deploy them into production.

- You have aBachelor’s Degree(Masters preferred) in a STEM or related quantitative field (economics, social sciences, finance).
- You have proven 4+ years of experience in using statistical and predictive modeling to algorithmically nudge human behavior in a desired direction. You are obsessed with data and want to know how things work under the hood.
- You have proven experience in working with large datasets in a cloud environment. You worked with data in many forms in structured and unstructured formats (Redshift/Postgres/MySQL or Dynamo
DB databases). You have worked with large datasets in streaming format, large tables or flat files and have used big data tools (i.e.Sage Maker, EMR, Spark) in AWS (Amazon Web Service). - You are adept at coding and developing prototypes. You have built machine learning models in Python,Jupyter Notebooks, AWSSagemakeror related technology.
- You are an expert can move data from csv file into the data warehouse using AWS and write queries to answer product and business questions.
- You havepreviousexperience developing andmaintainingdata pipelines. You have implemented ML Systems from automated training, modeling, serving, and modeling, and have experience building amarket placeto find the market clearing events.
- You havepreviousexperience applying modeling techniques such as classification/regression, spatial analysis, and time series analysis. You have used location-based data to solve the optimization of complex customized networks in the mobility space. An understandingonhow to use Uber H3 hexagons is a plus.
