## Certified Nursing Assistant (Full Time)### Category:

Description:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to nursing staff and ensures the well-being of patients in a hospital setting. This role involves direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.###
Minimum qualifications:
* Current Nursing Assistant Certification in the State of Washington with annual renewal required.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire through American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent organization.
** Primary job responsibilities**
* ** Patient Care:
** Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
* ** Vital Signs Monitoring:
** Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
* ** Patient Mobility:
** Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation to promote comfort and prevent falls.
* ** Personal Hygiene:
** Provide or assist with personal hygiene tasks, including oral care, toileting, and incontinence care.
* ** Feeding Assistance:
** Help patients with eating and drinking, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
* ** Patient Monitoring:
** Observe and report changes in patient conditions, behaviors, or complaints to the nursing staff.
* ** Documentation:
** Accurately document patient care activities, vital signs, and observations in the medical record.
* ** Safety and Infection Control:
** Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
* ** Emotional Support:
** Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs.
* ** Team
Collaboration:
** Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* ** Equipment and Supplies:
** Assist with the use of medical equipment and ensure that supplies are stocked and readily available.
* ** Emergency Response:

Salary Range:
This is a union position on the union wage scale (24 steps) and the selected candidate will be placed on the wage scale at the years of experience per the contract. Step 1: $20.54/hr., Step 12: $24.34/hr., Step 24: $29.79/hr.### Closing:
