Senior Scientist – Drug Product Process Development & Manufacturing (m/f/d)
Ready to take the lead in biologics manufacturing? Symphogen, part of the global Servier Group, is seeking a Senior Scientist to strengthen our Drug Product Process Development & Manufacturing capabilities. You’ll ensure robust GMP manufacturing of our injectable antibody therapeutics by leading CDMO collaborations, supporting tech transfer, and contributing to regulatory filings.

About the RoleYou will join a dynamic cross-functional CMC Drug Product Development team responsible for the development, manufacturing of biopharmaceutical drug products. Depending on your expertise, you will specialize in the following:
Senior Scientist – Formulation Development & Stability:
In this role, you will focus on the design and optimization of formulations for biologic drug products and lead stability programs to support clinical and commercial development.
- Lead clinical drug product manufacturing, tech transfer, and process validation
- Oversee GMP activities with CDMOs and internal manufacturing partners
- Troubleshoot, review batches, and support product release
- Align clinical manufacturing strategies with internal stakeholders
- Author regulatory documents (e.g., BLA/IND sections)
- Collaborate across drug substance, analytical, quality, and regulatory teams
- Travel: ~5–15 days/year
- Develop phase-appropriate formulations (liquid and lyophilized) for injectable administration
- Master’s or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years in drug product development/manufacturing, ideally for biologics
- Strong knowledge of protein formulation, stability, and injectable DP production
- Experience with CDMO coordination, FMEA, and process validation
Ability to work independently and drive projects proactively - Fluent in English (written and spoken)
