Installation Technician, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Reporting to: Project Manager
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 plus company car or $25,000 vehicle and tools allowance plus superannuation
Employment Status: Full-time, 12 month fixed term contract
Location: Truganina, VIC
This role will require the successful applicant to complete installation works on-site for residential and light commercial air conditioning systems (single split, ducted, and multi-head units) five days per week

Purpose of the position:
The Licensed Air Conditioning Installer will be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality residential and light commercial air conditioning installations. This includes ensuring installations meet Australian Standards, company quality expectations, and safety regulations.
Academic or trade qualifications:
- Qualified and Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic / Air Conditioning Installer
- VBA / BPC
- Refrig Air-con (intermediate) – Licensed (not Registered)
- Duct Fixing – Licensed (not Registered)
- Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect licence
- Nice to have
- VU22583 Apply Safe Working Practices in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry (or equivalent)
Work experience and skills:
- Proven experience in air conditioning installation and commissioning (minimum 3 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and state-based regulations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple installations.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians or apprentices.
- Strong communication skills and customer service focus.
- Ability to troubleshoot system faults and provide practical solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality control.
- Basic computer skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and CRM systems.
- Positive attitude, professional presentation, and reliable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional job requirements:
The successful candidate must undertake a Medical, Work Safe Prosecution, and National Police record check prior to commencement.
