As our Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll build and optimize the core services that power this platform, ensuring reliable performance and scalability as we grow. The ideal candidate will develop robust backend systems using NodeJS and the Hono framework while ensuring optimal database performance with Postgre

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NodeJS and Hono framework
• Build and optimize both RESTful APIs and real‑time APIs for seamless user experiences
• Implement and optimize database solutions with Postgre
  
  SQL and Drizzle ORM
• Work with message broker systems, specifically Cloudflare Queues or similar
• Design flexible architecture that can adapt to different business domains
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement technical solutions
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices

Technical Requirements

• Experience with Hono framework or similar lightweight server frameworks
• Advanced knowledge of Postgre
  
  SQL and Drizzle ORM, including data optimization techniques
• Deep understanding of relational database principles and performance optimization
• Experience with message queuing systems or a desire to gain expertise
• Experience improving development efficiency through AI‑assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
• Experience with real‑time communication protocols (Web Sockets, SSE) is a plus
• Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in backend development
• Experience with API design and implementation
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud infrastructure, or a willingness to learn

• Ability to spot issues early and take proactive steps, from sharing ideas to fully implementing them
• Interest in AI and staying up to date with related technologies
• English at an Intermediate level or higher

• Experience building backend systems for GenAI applications (prompt management, context handling, response streaming)
• Direct experience with LLM integration and GenAI development (fine‑tuning, RAG systems, structured outputs)
• Knowledge of graph databases and their applications
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development workflows
