Legacy Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Legacy Backend Developer with expertise in C#, Web Forms, SQL, and the .NET Framework (versions 4.6.2 and 4.8). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our legacy systems, ensuring high‑quality code and thorough testing. You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver reliable and efficient backend solutions.

• Maintain, enhance, and support legacy backend systems using C#, Web Forms, SQL, and the .NET Framework (4.6.2 and 4.8)
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
• Conduct thorough testing, including unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests, to ensure the quality and reliability of the code
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members
• Document code changes, technical specifications, and system configurations
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve legacy systems

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on legacy systems
• Strong proficiency in C#, Web Forms, SQL, and the .NET Framework (4.6.2 and 4.8)
• Proven experience with database design, development, and optimisation using SQL Server
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and code reviews
• Proven problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with other .NET technologies and frameworks preferred
• Familiarity with modern development practices and tools is advantageous
