Overview

Leading and coaching a team of 6 software engineers, mentoring and acting as a role model for junior colleagues.

Overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and support.

Ensuring timely project delivery by effectively allocating resources and removing blockers in collaboration with engineering project managers.

Driving architectural decisions and fostering technical expertise within the team.

Defining and implementing best practices for software engineering, quality assurance processes, and tools.

Contributing hands-on to software implementation when needed.

Collaborating with the engineering leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and ensure the seamless integration of Fotokite’s systems into the broader emergency response technology landscape.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.

At least 5 years of experience leading software teams in an industrial environment.

Strong ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.

Practical experience with software engineering and quality assurance best practices.

Exceptional software design and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on expertise with some of the following technologies: C++, Python, Golang, Typescript, React, nVidia Jetson, Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, network protocols, databases, video streaming, cloud full-stack development (GCP), CI/CD, authentication, encryption, and cybersecurity.

Positive attitude, growth mindset, and readiness to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

Fluency in English; additional language skills are a bonus.

This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and gain a clear understanding of what the position entails.

Practical Exercise: ⏰ 90 mins

If there’s a strong match between your profile and the role, we’ll invite you to complete a practical exercise. This task will provide you with a chance to showcase your technical abilities and problem-solving skills. The exercise will take approximately 90 minutes to complete and will be a key part of our transparent and collaborative hiring process.

Introduction to the Company

For candidates who score highly across all requisites, Hirre takes the next step by creating a comprehensive dossier. This includes your resume and a personalized introduction letter that highlights your skills, achievements, and fit for the open position. We then present this dossier to the hiring company, ensuring a seamless transition to their recruitment process.

From this point onward, the company will handle the remaining steps of the selection process. Depending on the role, candidates may go through 2 to 5 additional interview or assessment rounds. Senior-level positions typically involve more steps, reflecting the complexity and responsibilities of the role, while junior-level positions have fewer rounds. Hirre remains available throughout this process to provide guidance and support as needed.
