Assisted Living Operations Manager

Waterford Gardens Assisted & Senior Living is seeking a dependable, highly organized, and hands‑on Assisted Living
Operations Manager to help oversee the facility’s day‑to‑day operations. This role combines staff leadership, medical insights, resident and family service, admissions coordination, compliance support, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will be someone who takes ownership, follows through on details, communicates professionally, and is willing to step in wherever needed to help ensure the community operates safely, efficiently, and compassionately.

• Previous experience supervising employees in assisted living, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, property operations, or another service‑based environment.
• LVN with a CNA background or CNA with a healthcare management background, and business administration or related education or credentials.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, people, records, deadlines, and operational details.
• Strong follow‑through and a willingness to take ownership of problems until they are resolved.
• Ability to enforce standards while treating employees, residents, and families with dignity and respect.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during staffing or resident‑related challenges.
• Availability to respond to after‑hours or weekend operational issues.
• Must be proficient in English… Spanish is not a necessity.

• Experience with Texas assisted‑living compliance and inspection requirements.
• Experience with resident admissions, employee training, scheduling, purchasing, and compliance documentation.

• Oversee the daily operation of the assisted‑living facility.
• Prepare and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Coordinate responsibilities with employees and follow up to confirm that work has been completed properly.
• Help recruit, onboard, train, coach, and evaluate new and existing employees.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, performance, write‑up counseling, certifications, and required training.
• Address performance or conduct concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist employees during urgent situations or staffing challenges while maintaining appropriate management oversight.

• Build positive and respectful relationships with residents and their families.
• Respond promptly to resident and family questions, concerns, and service requests.
• Conduct tours for prospective residents and families.
• Coordinate the admissions process, including required agreements, records, and documentation.
• Coordinate and maintain resident service plans and care documentation, working with licensed clinical personnel when nursing judgment or authorization is required.
• Help ensure that residents receive the services identified in their Plan of Care.

• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential resident and employee records.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable assisted‑living requirements.
• Monitor employee licenses, certifications, background documentation, and training deadlines.
• Assist with inspection preparation, corrective‑action, and ongoing compliance activities.
• Immediately report significant resident, employee, safety, or compliance concerns to ownership.

• Monitor and coordinate food stock with cooks, household, medical, office, and operating supplies.
• Place orders while controlling waste and unnecessary spending.
• Coordinate menus and maintain required menu documentation.
