Volunteer | Full-time | On site

• Assist in teaching all aspects of art classes and lessons; undertake extra‑curricular activities and supervisory duties as assigned by administration.
• By precept and example, seek to uphold Christ as Friend and Lord and endeavor to lead students to a similar understanding.
• Maintain careful records of attendance and scholastic performance in the register and grade book; create course outlines and lesson plans as prescribed.
• Control student behavior in the classroom, school grounds and premises in accordance with rules and regulations stipulated in the Handbook.
• Ensure neatness and cleanliness in the classroom and school grounds; create visual aids, posters and displays on bulletin boards; perform janitorial work around the classroom and supervise during lunch hour and other times in rotation with other teachers.
• Attend regular staff meetings, other meetings and events even after school; join in‑service sessions and workshops to maintain or increase teaching skills.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities considered part of normal load; work in harmony with school programs and activities outlined in the Staff Handbook/Bulletin and other directives from the Board and administration.
• Regularly attend weekend services and assist in church programs according to talents and abilities (Sabbath School classes for all ages, Pathfinder Club, youth meetings during the week, door‑to‑door visits, prison ministry, Bible studies and other outreach as needed).

• Fluency in English
• 1 year college/university education
• Baptized Seventh-day Adventist

Dress professionally and appropriately for occasion. Skirts, if worn, should touch knees. Shorts should not be shorter than 2" above the knee and may be worn only on designated occasions. Straps on dresses should completely cover bra and a cardigan or similar clothing should cover shoulders. Shirts and shorts should be worn when swimming. Ladies should wear a one-piece bathing suit underneath.

Men’s shirts with shirttails should be tucked in. Print on clothing should be appropriate for a Christian to wear.

No tight or low‑cut clothing is allowed. Neither are sleeveless/sheer blouses or dresses. No low‑rider or baggy pants on men. Please refrain from wearing any jewelry.

May share apartment with other volunteers. Basic housekeeping supplies provided. Volunteer supplies linens and bedding.

Although geographically in Micronesia, Guam is politically a US island. On Guam is the headquarters of our Guam‑Micronesia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists. Guam Adventist Academy is our PreK‑12th grades day‑school located in the quieter, southern portion of the island.
