HOURLY RANGE: $14.25 - $19.47
PAY GRADE: IS-01
PRIMARY PURPOSETo contribute to a well‑organized and smoothly functioning environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification- High school diploma or GED certificate

- Minimum 48 college hours
- Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for the work to be performed.
- Ability to work well with children.
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy.
- Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher.
- Assist with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Assist in supervising students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist the teachers in keeping administrative records and preparing required reports.
- Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as needed.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
- When applicable, to interpret lessons to a limited‑English speaking child.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

In Pre‑K classrooms as well as special needs of students, staff aides will address personal/hygiene needs of students such as assistance in toileting, washing of hands, changing of clothing when soiled, etc.
