Responsibilities
  • Maintain the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, patients, and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property. Provide supervision for at‑risk patients in the hospital environment.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Completed High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
  • Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift; move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.; help restrain or lift a person
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian’s driving guidelines if applicable (for driving roles)
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer
  • Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and company needs. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week. The environment may be fast‑paced and stressful or quiet and slow‑paced. All environments and pace of work require alertness and the ability to perform under pressure.

During the job the employee must sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time during shifts; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
