- 2025‑2026 VACANCY
To assist with the maintenance of a safe and orderly school environment for students and staff; protect and secure all property, equipment, buildings, etc., located at the school campus.
Qualifications- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Texas Commission on Private Security (TCPS) Level Two Certification
- Demonstrate competence and willingness to perform assigned duties
- Patrols and supervises hallways, restrooms, entrance ways, parking lots, driveways, and other areas of the school.
- Reports rule violations and offenders to Director for Maintenance and Security, school administrators, and SRO officer.
- Monitors campus pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
- Works with MPD/MCISD/SRO Police Officers to keep the building clear of people not on official school business.
- Inspects all doors, windows, parked cars, or any suspicious conditions.
- Stops disturbances and undue distractions on school grounds.
- Assists law enforcement officers and completes affidavits as necessary.
- Participates in training, orientation, and maintains, at own expense Level Two Certification (TCPS).
- Confers with MPD/MCISD Police Officers on matters of concern, and notifies authorities of any situation requiring attention.
- Prepares written reports of incidents; keeps current on school laws and policies which affect students and staff.
- Works cooperatively with other security officers, SRO officers, and campus staff to promote a safe school environment.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Director for Maintenance and Security.

Workday Conditions Mental DemandsReading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English; emotional control; exhibit rapid mental decision making ability to defuse disturbances or distractions.
Physical DemandsStrenuous walking, standing, lifting, and/or climbing. Ability to operate a motor vehicle; ability to control sudden violent or extreme physical acts of others and exhibit rapid mental and muscular coordination; may be subjected to adverse and hazardous conditions; works outdoors in varying climate conditions.
