Position SummaryThe Low Voltage Foreman at Telepro is responsible for supervising field crews on the installation of structured cabling, audio/visual, CCTV, intercom, HVAC control, and CATV systems. This leadership role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely on time, within labor budgets, and to the highest standards of quality and performance. The Foreman serves as the key field liaison between technicians, project managers, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise daily operations of field installation teams across multiple job sites.
- Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance; ensure all personnel follow procedures.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure labor is used efficiently.
- Train and mentor team members to promote growth and skill development.
- Monitor and manage labor hours daily to ensure projects remain within budgeted hours.
- Track progress against estimated labor and proactively adjust work plans.
- Communicate potential labor overruns or delays to project managers in advance.
- Review project scopes, blueprints, construction documents, and schedules.
- Coordinate and execute installations including structured cabling, audio/visual systems, intercom systems, CCTV systems, HVAC controls, and CATV systems.
- Perform walkthroughs and final inspections; manage punch list completion.
- Assist with system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain quality control standards to meet Telepro and client expectations.
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including redlines, as-builts, daily reports, and labor logs.
- Act as the on-site point of contact for the project manager, general contractor, and other trades.
- Attend project kickoff meetings and progress check-ins.
- Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment needed for project execution.
- Report job status, labor usage, and any change order requirements promptly.
- 3-5+ years of experience in low-voltage systems or structured cabling.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, system layout, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Work on active construction sites and occasionally in occupied buildings.
- Must be able to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in outdoor environments.
- Travel required within a 300-mile radius; per diem provided for qualifying assignments.
