Overview: We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established accounting firm in the Woodbridge/Vaughan area seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. This is a key role within the organization, ideal for a career-minded professional who can operate both strategically and tactically to service a diverse client base. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, along with experience in tax compliance and a proactive, client-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare corporate, personal, and trust tax returns, alongside handling GST/HST, WSIB, and EHT filings
• Oversee the end-to-end preparation of working paper files and financial statements
• Act as a direct point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring top-tier service and compliance guidance
• Manage payroll administration and the timely preparation of annual T-slips and summaries
• Oversee and execute bookkeeping functions as required to keep client files pristine
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

Qualifications

• Holds a recognized Canadian accounting designation
• Highly proficient with tax and accounting software (specifically Profile and Quick Books), alongside MS Office
• Solid grasp of Canadian tax compliance and accounting principles
• Fluent in English with exceptional communication skills; working knowledge of Italian is considered an asset
• Self-motivated team player who thrives under tight deadlines in a high-energy environment

Compensation

• Salary commensurate with experience
