Commercial Construction Controller

Join a successful construction firm in Mississauga as a Controller, overseeing all financial operations. Leverage your CPA and extensive accounting experience to drive strategic initiatives.

This key role involves direct reporting to the General Manager while managing a small team. You’ll control day-to-day accounting activities and work closely with company leaders to enhance financial decision-making. Your expertise will ensure timely financial reporting and accurate cost accounting across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes

• Manage project cost accounting, including budgeting and change orders

• Ensure accuracy in Estimate at Completion forecasting

• Collaborate with operations for improved forecasting and decision-making

• Oversee AR/AP, payroll, and cash management

Requirements:

• CPA certification required

• 10+ years full cycle accounting experience

• 3+ years in a management role

• Construction industry experience essential

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Jonas Premier preferred
