The Opportunity:

Our client is a well-established, growing organization with operations across multiple markets and a complex corporate structure. As part of its Finance team, the organization is seeking a Tax Analyst to support Canadian tax compliance, reporting, and related tax activities.

Reporting within the Finance function, this position will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and external tax advisors to ensure the organization remains compliant with Canadian federal and provincial tax requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Canadian tax professional with strong corporate tax experience who is looking to broaden their technical exposure, take on increasing responsibility, and build a long-term career within a sophisticated organization.

What you will achieve in this role:
  • Prepare and file Canadian corporate income tax returns (T2), GST/HST returns, and other federal and provincial tax filings
  • Support internal and external tax audits by preparing documentation, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting analysis
  • Analyze financial statements and general ledger data to identify tax adjustments, compliance requirements, and potential tax opportunities
  • Monitor changes to Canadian tax legislation and assess their potential impact on the organization
  • Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with CRA requirements
  • Support Canadian corporate tax compliance and reporting across multiple entities
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters, where applicable
  • Research and interpret provisions of the Canadian Income Tax Act, GST/HST legislation, and provincial tax regulations
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams to gather financial information and resolve tax-related issues
  • Work with external tax advisors and auditors as required
  • Assist with tax-related projects, process improvements, and ad hoc analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting and compliance processes
  • Support broader tax initiatives and gain exposure to areas beyond Canadian corporate tax
What you must bring to this role:
  • CPA designation is strongly preferred; candidates in the final stages of obtaining their CPA may also be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Approximately 3–5+ years of relevant Canadian tax experience
    , with strong corporate tax exposure
  • Strong hands‑on experience preparing or supporting Canadian corporate tax returns (T2)
  • Experience in Big 4, public accounting, professional services, or a complex corporate environment is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act, GST/HST, and provincial tax legislation
  • Experience with Canadian corporate tax compliance, tax research, and tax reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and general ledger data from a tax perspective
  • Experience supporting tax audits and CRA requirements
  • Exposure to transfer pricing and intercompany transactions is considered an asset
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with financial datasets
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders
  • Strong professional presence and the ability to confidently discuss Canadian tax matters with internal and external stakeholders
  • Canadian education and Canadian work experience are strongly preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week in Mississauga
