Accounting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a long-term contract opportunity with a large, established organization in Costa Mesa. This position is fully onsite and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily accounting activities and support accounting team members

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures

Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes

Support internal and external audits

Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles

Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems

Experience working in a large corporate environment preferred

2+ years of accounting supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
