Infrastructure Project Accountant

Infrastructure project accounting meets Oracle expertise in this in-office Mississauga position with Amico, supporting financial reporting across complex construction projects.

The Project Accountant supports financial and management reporting in a project-based environment. You will analyze project costs, revenue, margins, and forecasts while maintaining accurate financial data in Oracle. The position connects project teams with Divisional Finance through disciplined controls, reporting, and close activities.

• Prepare revenue, cost, margin, and backlog reporting for infrastructure projects
• Review monthly forecasts, costs at completion, revenue, cash flows, and risks
• Deliver accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet support during period-end close
• Verify change orders, extra work, claims, costs, and contract billings
• Flag margin fade, cost overruns, cash risk, and reporting discrepancies

• Accounting, Finance, or related degree, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum four years of project accounting experience
• Working knowledge of percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and cost forecasting
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and large datasets
• Oracle, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting experience preferred
