Commitment: Flexible; ideally 10-20 hours per week

Our reception area is often the first point of contact for the people we serve, and our volunteers play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming experience.
Role Overview
As a Reception & Administrative Support Volunteer, you will assist our front-of-house team with a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, and enjoys helping others. No two days are exactly the same — you might be greeting visitors in the morning and helping with data entry in the afternoon.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and staff at the reception area
Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
Respond to general email inquiries or forward to the appropriate team member
Assist with scheduling appointments and managing meeting room bookings
Perform general data entry, filing, and document management tasks
Prepare, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence
Support staff with photocopying, scanning, and printing as needed
Maintain a tidy and organized reception and common areas
Assist with the preparation of materials for events, meetings, or programs
Provide general administrative support as directed by office staff
What We're Looking For
Friendly, approachable manner with strong interpersonal skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer literacy (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to agreed volunteer hours
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Previous office, reception, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
Comfort working in a busy, people-centred environment
