The City of Mississauga is hiring a Retail Sector Consultant to enhance its Retail Strategy over a two-year contract. Ideal candidates possess a mix of creative vision and project management expertise. This role involves building relationships and coordinating efforts across various sectors to create vibrant and resilient retail environments across the city.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Retail Strategy’s implementation

• Create initiatives promoting retail growth

• Build partnerships with businesses and organizations

• Develop public initiatives for engaging commercial areas

• Monitor trends and adapt strategies accordingly

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education

• 3-5 years in community or economic development

• Experience in placemaking and public realm initiatives

• Strong relationship building capabilities

• Valid G Class driver’s license
