Co-op Health, Safety, and Environment Student

Embark on a 4-month co-op as a Student HSE Coordinator with Bird Construction, starting September 1, 2026, in the Greater Toronto Area. Enhance your skills while managing safety programs on construction sites.

Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a Health, Safety, and Environment program and eager to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure skilled execution of safety policies, conduct inspections, and document findings.

Your role will involve leading safety meetings and engaging with regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage Bird Safety Program on job sites

• Conduct safety inspections and post findings prominently

• Document safety statistics and monitor accident frequencies

• Lead investigations into incidents and safety violations

• Provide first aid and orientation to newcomers on site

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a diploma in Health, Safety, and Environment

• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Strong capability to adapt in a dynamic environment

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach

• Eligible work permit for Bird Construction
