Position: Construction Manager Transport  ·
About this position
Accountable for all Civil Works and associated financial control via scheduling (time), SP/ASP management, and Quality Management on a given project. Ensure that all Service Providers are adhering to required standards, processes, and procedures, as well as all Federal and Local regulations. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities.

External Interfaces:  ASP/SP, Customer PM

Internal Interfaces:  IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor, CPM

Responsibilities

Assess and control charges to the agreed site design

Ensure that:

Only customer‑approved materials are installed on the project

Civil Works guidelines and schedules are followed and enforced

Attend coordination and progress meetings

Maintain awareness and provide on‑site supervision where risk of disturbances to customer site performance is high

Ensure the working environment is maintained at an acceptable level; perform safety inspections and verify that tools and equipment are in good working condition

Perform Civil Works problem‑solving as required during the project

Coordinate site activities and ensure all disciplines involved in the project remain aligned with project goals and objectives

Drive schedule activities and troubleshoot issues

Ensure that:

Service Providers and vendors/suppliers meet all required technical specifications

Workmanship quality meets contractual standards and customer expectations

All Federal, Local, and customer safety guidelines and construction procedures are enforced throughout the Civil Works phase

Maintain knowledge of worker safety and work environment safety

Perform:

Site pre‑inspections and coordinate post‑construction audits

Site verification

Visual inspection of on‑site quality

Prepare regular progress reports as required by the project

Provide accurate status updates to project management

Provide technical assistance to Service Providers and other suppliers involved in Civil Works activities

Reject incorrect material deliveries to site

Report poor performance and quality issues on site

Ensure proper interpretation and compliance with civil design plans

Supervise, coordinate, and monitor work performed by Service Providers and other disciplines interfacing with Civil Works

Provide team leadership with a focus on quality and results

Write claims, order materials, and manage returns

Maintain and update construction‑specific areas of Site Handler, including but not limited to:

SOW and pre‑construction documents (NTP, SOW, RFDS, safety guidance, QA standards, etc.)

NTP receipt verification

RFDS submission review and changes

Civils acceptance documents: submission receipt, review, and approval

Civils progress PFA verification (daily)

Close‑out document review and acceptance sign‑off

Construction Manager 2 – CM2 has good knowledge and skills. Identifies and solves complicated problems requiring careful analysis by adapting existing procedures, techniques, and methods. Actively contributes to improvement and change. Works independently.

Experience / Qualification
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience, including:

Job‑related experience with project builds over 200 sites

Reports to:

CM3 (Lead) or IM Lead
