Project Coordinator – Civil Construction

Maple Reinders Constructors  is currently searching for a  Project Coordinator  to join our Civil construction division in  Mississauga, Ontario . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting civil water and wastewater projects across Ontario.

As a Project Coordinator in our Civil division, you will support our Project Managers in delivering heavy civil and industrial-type projects. You will also support the project team with documentation, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, while gaining exposure to various contract types such as Design‑Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management. Your key responsibility is to help ensure projects are delivered profitably, to spec, with high quality and a strong focus on site safety.

Key Responsibilities

Participating on heavy civil and industrial type projects

Assisting in preparing budgets and construction schedules, setting up project administration files

Initiating and maintaining correspondence with Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub‑trades and suppliers under direction from the Project Manager

Selecting suppliers and sub‑trades and obtaining quotations

Clarifying scope of work with sub‑trades and suppliers

Developing successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developers

Ensuring a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and the Corporate Health and Safety Policy

Attending site meetings and assisting in the completion of project deficiencies

Closing tenders in consultation with senior managers

Qualifications / Skills

Minimum 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry

A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience

Experience working on water / wastewater projects is considered a strong asset

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 / Year (depending on experience)
