Position: Construction Manager- New Site Build
Overview
Construction Manager - New Site Build. Pay Rate: 60$/hr Incorp.

Description:

Construction Manager accountable for all civil works and associated financial control via scheduling (time), SP/ASP and Quality Management on a given project. Ensure that all service providers are adhering to Ericsson standards, processes and procedures as well as all Federal and Local standards. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities. Interfaces with External Interfaces: ASP/SP;
Internal Interfaces: IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor, CPM.

Responsibilities

Assess and control charges to the agreed site design.

Assure that only customer’s approved materials are installed on the project.

Ensure the agreed Civil Works guidelines and schedules are followed and enforced.

Attend coordination and progress meetings.

Provide awareness and on-site supervision when there is a high risk of disturbance to customer site performance.

Check that the working environment is maintained at an acceptable level, carry out safety inspections and ensure tools are in good working condition.

Perform civil works problem solving as required during the project.

Coordinate site activities and ensure all disciplines involved are aligned with project goals and objectives.

Drive schedule activities and troubleshoot results.

Ensure service providers and vendors meet all technical specifications with respect to Ericsson and customer specifications, and that workmanship quality complies with the contract, Ericsson standards, and customer expectations.

Enforce all Ericsson, Federal, Local, and customer safety guidelines and construction procedures during the civil works phase.

Demonstrate knowledge of workers safety and work environment safety.

Conduct site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits; perform site verification and visual quality inspections on site.

Prepare regular interval progress reports as required by the project; provide accurate status information on progress to project management.

Provide technical assistance to service providers and other suppliers involved in civil works activities.

Reject wrong deliveries of material to site and report bad performance and quality on site.

Interpret and ensure compliance with civil design plans; supervise and coordinate works with service providers and other disciplines interfacing with the civil works part of the project.

Lead a team with a focus on quality and results.

Write claims, order and return materials.

Maintain and update construction-specific areas of Site Handler, including SOW and preconstruction documents, NTP receipt verification, RFDS submission review, civils acceptance documents, daily civils progress verification, and close-out document review and acceptance sign-off.

Supervise, coordinate and monitor works with service providers and other disciplines that interface with the Civil Works.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualification Level: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with job-related experience on project builds (over 200 sites).

Reports to CM3 (Lead) or IM Lead.

Identifies and solves complicated problems requiring careful analysis by adapting existing procedures, techniques and methods.

Active contributor to improvement and change; able to work independently.
