In this pivotal role, you will report to the Safety Manager, working closely with operational staff to facilitate the development of safety programs tailored to specific job sites.
Your role will involve inspecting sites, preparing reports on incidents, and ensuring all safety training materials are effective and up-to-date. Travel between different worksites is essential to achieve OSCO’s safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Distribute and manage responsibilities tailored to project units
• Develop health and safety training and orientation materials
• Perform detailed inspections to identify unsafe practices
• Liaise with management to improve safety measures
• Create and maintain site-specific emergency preparedness plans
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of progressive safety experience in construction
• Strong knowledge of applicable safety legislation
• Asset:
Safety professional certifications
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Excellent communication skills across all management levels
Lead safety initiatives at OSCO and make a significant impact on workplace health.
