You as a Development Manager will:
Lead development projects for Ellis Don Community Builders (EDCB), a division of Ellis Don Capital, through the development process including planning approvals, design development, and construction in collaboration with multi-disciplinary consultant teams and various government authorities.
Maintain appropriate records of architectural, landscape, and engineering plans, as well as approvals, permits and agreements for each project.
Review and consolidate comments on technical reports, drawings, and other consultant work products.
Research and analyze housing market trends, affordable housing policy, industry data, and public/private funding and financing opportunities for affordable housing and other developments.
Apply valuation tools and financial analysis to assess affordable housing and other development opportunities for clients, partners, and projects.
Support project administration throughout all phases of a project; including preparing timely project updates and reports, along with tracking schedule, budget, risks and key milestones.
Interface and coordinate with various internal departments, such as Ellis Don’s marketing, sustainability group, construction teams as needed.
Work with the EDCB team to identify, assess, and prepare funding applications and submissions to government and housing-related organizations, such as Build Canada Homes, to support affordable housing and community development projects.
Prepare client presentations, briefing materials, reports, and business development materials.
Support the preparation of proposals, project workplans, feasibility assessments, and development strategies for clients and partners.
Coordinate with municipal staff, public agencies, non-profit partners, and other stakeholders to help advance planning approvals, funding applications, and project delivery objectives.
