Co-op Student Estimator

Gain hands-on experience as a Co-op Student Estimator with Bird Construction in Mississauga, Ontario. This opportunity involves project analysis, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.

We are looking for students enrolled in relevant programs like Construction Management or Civil Engineering for a 4 to 12-month co-op starting September 2026. You will independently manage estimating tasks while supported by a Supervisor and Technical Mentor. Collaborate closely with senior estimators to enhance your skills in project bidding and scope understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project plans and specifications

• Conduct take-offs from project drawings

• Prepare detailed cost estimates using software

• Assist in compiling bid proposals

• Collaborate with project managers for proposal accuracy

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program

• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to thrive in a changing environment

• Valid work permit for Bird Construction
