Travel Consultant

Role Description

This is an independent contractor role (commission only) for a Travel Consultant with Expedia Cruises. Based in Toronto, ON, the position allows for a combination of in‑office and work‑from‑home arrangements. The Travel Consultant will assist clients with travel arrangements, including flights, cruises, accommodations, and tours.

Responsibilities include offering personalized travel advice, managing reservations, providing excellent customer service support, and maintaining knowledge of travel trends and promotions. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with the team to ensure seamless travel experiences for clients.

• Experience as a travel counsellor preferred but not required – we provide training in our brand promise and sales/marketing methods.
• Proficiency in planning and managing travel arrangements such as flights, cruises, and accommodations.
• Solid customer service skills, including addressing client needs and resolving concerns.
• Expertise in creating and managing reservations with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to manage tasks and deadlines in both office and remote environments.
• Knowledge of travel industry booking systems (Amadeus, Sabre, etc.) NOT REQUIRED – proprietary point‑and‑click tools are available to book customers.
• TICO (Ontario) certification required.
