Customer Service Representative – Property Claims

Responsibilities   Be a subject matter expert on property policies, products, services, and initiatives.
Answer calls in a professional manner to take care of insured clients.
Answer inquiries and new claims calls on an inbound queue, applying knowledge, problem-solving skills, and making decisions to move requests forward.
Handle emergency situations in a courteous and respectful manner.
Recommend business partners to clients (emergency service/contractor).
Accurately and clearly document files to reflect conversations and actions taken on claims.
Meet daily call center metrics while handling a high volume of inbound calls.
Provide quality customer service, maintain low hold times, and document files clearly and concisely.
Execute multiple tasks aligned with changing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines. This environment is fast-evolving; other ad hoc duties may be assigned.
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree, insurance training, or equivalent training/experience
At least 6 months of experience in a call center environment
Insurance experience is considered an asset
Passionate about customer service
Self-motivated, resourceful, and resilient to overcome various situations
Superior organizational skills and agility to navigate a dynamic environment
Comfortable with technology and computer systems
Excellent communication skills in English

Flexible to work 35 hours per week during business hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and statutory holidays
No Canadian work experience required; must be eligible to work in Canada
Bilingual in French is considered an asset
