Landscape Architect

Position: Landscape Architect - City
Elevate urban landscapes in Mississauga as a Landscape Architect for the Rapid Transit Program. Focus on innovative streetscape designs while collaborating with various city departments in a hybrid work setup.

In this role, you will report directly to the Manager of the Rapid Transit Program Office and play a crucial role in landscape and urban design implementation. Your expertise will guide the integration of public realm initiatives, ensuring that transit corridors are both functional and aesthetically appealing. Collaboration and attention to detail will be key in managing diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide design support for transit-related landscapes

• Evaluate and comment on third-party design submissions

• Coordinate streetscape vision through stakeholder engagement

• Address RFIs effectively during construction

• Lead reviews of landscape construction and materials

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture required

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience

• Eligible for full membership in OALA

• Strong abilities in design documentation and problem-solving

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and construction standards
