Lead Utility CAD Designer

Position: Lead Utility CAD Designer at Hatch
Shape the future of urban infrastructure with Hatch as a Senior Utility CAD Designer in Oakville, ON. This full-time, on-site role requires a seasoned CAD professional to lead complex utility designs.

As part of the Hatch team, you’ll utilize over 7 years of experience in CAD design for transportation and municipal projects. This position emphasizes the preparation of detailed utility drawings, 3D modeling, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Take ownership of design tasks while ensuring compliance with industry standards and effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation of utility design drawings for diverse projects

• Manage design tasks independently for accuracy and quality

• Create and maintain 3D utility models for design coordination

• Interface with municipalities for utility conflict resolution

• Oversee QA/QC of drawings and mentor junior staff

Requirements:

• 7+ years of CAD design experience in utilities

• Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Project Wise, and ACC

• Knowledge of utility design standards and practices

• Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary environments
