Job Summary
The is responsible for designing effective, engaging learning experiences while ensuring the smooth operation of the Learning Management System (LMS) and related client requests. These requests can include the creation of content into e-modules, pulling reports, and/or assigning training. This role blends deep instructional design expertise with hands‑on LMS support to deliver high‑quality training solutions across the organization. The position also includes facilitation responsibilities to support program delivery and maintain learner engagement.
Specific Responsibilities
Design and develop learning solutions including e‑learning modules, microlearning, videos, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, assessments, and performance support tools using technology and software including Articulate, Synthesia, Co-Pilot, among others.Conduct needs analyses to understand trainee and business requirements.Apply adult learning principles, accessibility standards, and instructional design best practices to all training products.Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to translate complex content into clear, trainee-friendly materials.Evaluate training effectiveness and use data to iterate and improve learning content.Support the creation of blended learning pathways and curricula aligned to organizational goals and specific KPIs.Respond to LMS support tickets and troubleshoot various stakeholder inquiries.Manage course creation, enrollment, reporting, compliance tracking, and system updates within the LMS.Support client requests such as training builds, assignment rules, audience setup, and content publishing.Collaborate with internal partners to maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance requirements are met.Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve the learner experience and introduce automations were appropriate.Maintain documentation related to LMS workflows and processes.Deliver virtual and/or in‑person training sessions when needed to support key programs.Serve as backup facilitator for high‑priority learning initiatives.Support new facilitator onboardingParticipate in internal PD sharing best practices and instructional insights.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Learning & Development4+ years of relevant experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or teaching.Skills & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in instructional design methodologies and adult learning theory.Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Workday Learning, Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Cornerstone).Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.Experience with authoring tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, etc.) is an asset.Facilitation experience that includes remote, in-person, and hybrid delivery models.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
