Description:

About us:

U of T Mississauga—the second-largest campus of Canada’s top-ranked university and the only research university in Ontario’s booming Peel Region—is one of the world’s great catalysts of human potential.

Our employee community hums with the energy of 3,400 faculty, librarians and staff, who power our campus with curiosity, connection and care. We work together to spark life-changing research and innovation, make an indelible mark on the world by building equitable cities and societies, enable healthy lives, create a sustainable future and ignite entrepreneurship. Above all, we prioritize student success and seek to give our 16,500 students the lift of a lifetime through learning and discovery.

We love to open opportunities available nowhere else for our community to achieve their ambitions and make their unique contributions to Canada and the world.

This work all comes together on a spectacularly green campus, alongside the Mississagi-ziibi (Trusting Creek or Credit River), where we seek to honour truth, reciprocity and reconciliation on the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, Seneca and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. We’re thrilled to welcome those who want to learn more about us and to be part of what we do.

Your opportunity:

The Office of the Registrar at U of T Mississauga delivers registrarial services to support U of T Mississauga's academic goals and U of T priorities in student information, policy interpretation, and innovation in registrarial interactions. Our core mission is effective and sustainable strategic enrolment management: student recruitment, retention, success and graduation. Operating in a culture of cooperation and collaboration, we achieve our goals and objectives based on the values of student-focused solutions, the integrity of academic records, and continuous innovation.

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Front-Line Services, the Registrarial Services and Examinations Representative is the first point of contact in the Office of the Registrar and provides proactive, customer-friendly, high-quality service in a complex environment that reflects a diverse population. Having a thorough knowledge of U of T and U of T Mississauga rules and regulations, the Representative interprets academic guidelines and procedures, and provides guidance and information on undergraduate university regulations, policies and practices to undergraduate students, staff, faculty and visitors.

The Registrarial Services and Examinations Representative is responsible for assisting undergraduate students with registration and enrolment processes; investigates and resolves student registration, enrolment and fee issues that arise; recommending and implementing solutions or alternative approaches to solving problems; and introducing new policies and procedures. Working in a team environment, the Representative reviews all incoming requests and documents for completeness, accuracy, and to ensure requirements are met, informing applicants about format, content, and deadlines.

The Registrarial Services and Examinations Representative assesses student needs, referring to academic and financial advising by scheduling appropriate appointments or recommending group or other informational sessions. The Representative participates in team and department meetings to enhance service quality, streamline policies and procedures, and recommends changes and implements strategies, as appropriate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
  • Providing detailed information on processes, policies, and procedures
