Delia School is looking for an Educational Assistant to serve our K–12 students. This position is designed for a passionate individual who can assist in the classroom on a full‑time basis working 30 hours per week, while taking an active role in the spiritual and emotional development of our school community, fostering a culture centered on Jesus Christ. You will work closely with school leadership, staff, students, and families to provide mentorship, discipleship, and leadership opportunities.
Delia School is a K‑12 rural school with approximately 115 students. We have a strong focus on academics, athletics, community, and fostering a safe and caring culture. This position follows a Monday to Thursday schedule and observes all extended breaks in accordance with the Division's school calendar.
In this role, you will foster a Christ‑centered environment by building meaningful mentoring relationships with students across all grade levels. You will be a visible, active presence on site, leading age‑appropriate devotions and faith‑based programming while facilitating leadership development grounded in Christian values. Beyond the classroom, you will offer spiritual guidance to students facing personal challenges and collaborate with administration to support wellness and crisis response.
By encouraging student involvement in service and outreach, you will play a vital role in nurturing a safe, inclusive community where spiritual growth and character development go hand in hand.
Preference will be given to a candidate who holds a degree or training in theology, ministry, or a related field, complemented by experience working with youth in school, church, or community settings. You will have strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to connect with students across the K–12 spectrum within a collaborative, team‑oriented environment. Highly valued assets include a background in counseling, coaching, or mentorship, along with a creative approach to programming and prior experience navigating the unique dynamics of a school setting.
Please send cover letter, resume and the names and contact information for three references.
Competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
Thank you to all applicants, but only those who will be interviewed will be contacted. The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check, with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Check satisfactory to PLRD prior to commencement. Please quote competition number on application.
