The appointment runs from January 1 to April 30, 2027, focusing on exploring the connections between mental disorders and legal proceedings. Candidates must hold a relevant Ph.D. or law degree and demonstrate experience in criminal law, particularly in trial and appellate work. Ideal applicants will have prior teaching experience and mastery of the subject matter.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and teach comprehensive course content
• Provide guidance to teaching assistants
• Evaluate and grade student assessments
• Conduct office hours for student inquiries
• Adjust instructional methods as necessary
Requirements:
• Completed Ph.D. or law degree with practice experience
• Background in criminal law and mental health issues
• Teaching experience at the university level
• Familiarity with Ontario's legal framework
• Competence in using education technology tools
Drive discussions on mental health and justice while shaping the academic journey of students at UTM.
