Group Ice Skating Instructor Position

The City of Mississauga is hiring Part-Time Learn to Skate Instructors for Fall and Winter 2026. Teach group lessons and enhance skating skills for participants from toddlers to adults in a welcoming environment.

We are looking for 25 instructors dedicated to providing quality ice skating lessons at local arenas. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, ensuring safety, and supporting the development of participants' skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct group skating classes of varying sizes

• Ensure participant safety throughout lessons

• Develop and execute lesson plans for diverse ages

• Regularly check the fit and safety of equipment

• Prepare progress evaluations for each student

Requirements:

• Age of at least 15 years

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• HIGH FIVE certification needed

• Strong organizational skills

• Must work in a cold environment while on skates
