Description of Course
:
This course provides an overview of financial risks which include market risk, credit risk and operational risk. It also discusses the importance of managing these risks and introduces students to basic tools for analyzing and managing them. [24L]

Position Description
:
All normal duties related to the design, administration and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; supervision of teaching assistants; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and examinations, including make-up tests; calculation and submission of grades to university officials; holding regular student office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student contact.

Minimum Qualifications
:

  • Demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching and mastery of subject area
  • Previous experience in teaching this, or related course, at university level
  • Demonstrated Excellence in delivering online courses in a remote setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    :

  • PhD in Economics
  • Professional experience in Finance industry
  • Salary
    : $9,997.48 at Sessional Lecturer I 0.5 FCE rate (inclusive of vacation pay)

    $10,699.22 at Sessional Lecturer II 0.5 FCE rate (inclusive of vacation pay)

    Salary rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail, in the event in a discrepancy of rates with this posting.

    Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III in accordance with Article 14:12
