Engage with students as a Volunteer Mentor in Start2

Finish’s Running & Reading Club in Mississauga. Support kids in Grades 1-6 through engaging literacy and fitness activities after school.

This fulfilling role will require just two hours a week, where you’ll lead fitness fun and help improve children’s reading skills. Every Tuesday, you will connect with young learners, serving healthy snacks and creating an environment of growth and encouragement. Your mentoring will help students foster self-esteem and strong peer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in enjoyable fitness challenges

• Read one-on-one with young children

• Provide healthy snacks during activities

• Facilitate literacy games to enrich learning

• Encourage positive interactions among peers

Requirements:

• Age 16 years or older

• Competent commuting to site location

• Consent to background or police check

• Adherence to Volunteer Code of Conduct

• Enthusiasm for nurturing children's confidence
