Course description:

BTC
1600H & 1610H Current Trends in Biotechnology for Life Science and DHT professionals. In the current version of this course, we require a cogent flow of topics aligned with the Management and Operations series. A sequence of invited seminars, student presentations, and instructor-based lectures will be offered, covering the Regulatory Landscape, Reimbursement in Biotech, Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, and Team Management.

Sessional dates of appointment:
September 8th, 2026, to December 24th, 2026

Salary:

Sessional Lecturer I - $19,105 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Minimum qualifications:

PhD and/or industry experience required, plus teaching experience in accredited courses at a recognized university. An MBA and significant industry exposure are required. Direct experience with courses focused on biotechnology management and experience with entrepreneurship at a graduate level are highly desirable assets.

Preferred qualifications:

Demonstrated excellence in teaching this course, or a similar course at the university level, is preferred, with evidence provided from teaching evaluations.

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II and Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12.
