Course Description: This course studies the interplay between religion, magic, and astrology. It analyzes how magic and astrology have been viewed in history by different world religions, and how these religions have integrated, or excluded, magical practices and astrological beliefs in their mainstream practices and beliefs.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Religion or closely related discipline. Mastery/competency in the subject area, as related to the course description, is required. Demonstrated effectiveness as an instructor. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience teaching a similar course.

Description of Duties:
Preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; dealing with student inquires; calculation and submission of grades (including any grading or submission of grades not completed by the end of session: December 31, 2026 for the F session and April 30, 2027 for the S); holding regular office hours; supervising TAs (if any) assigned to the course.
