Ensure student safety as a Crossing Guard at Mitchell Hepburn Public School in St. Thomas, Ontario. This role involves assisting children across busy streets while managing traffic effectively.

This CUPE 841.4 position requires vigilant supervision of students and pedestrians during designated crossing times from Monday to Friday throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities:

• Escort students safely across designated street intersections

• Communicate traffic rules effectively to children

• Report unsafe behavior or conditions to administration

• Monitor traffic to ensure safe crossing opportunities

• Utilize traffic control signage appropriately

Requirements:

• Able to stand outside for 45–60 minutes in varying weather

• Effective communication skills are necessary

• Must provide a satisfactory police record check

• Experience working with children is an advantage

• Own transportation required
