Junior Educational Assistant Position in Education

Contribute to the educational development at Endzhi-gkinoohmaading Elementary School as a Junior Educational Assistant for one academic year. Collaborate closely with teachers and provide essential support to students.

In this position, you will work under the direction of the Elementary School Principal, assisting in various classroom operations, supporting students individually and in groups, and handling non-instructional classroom responsibilities.

Your role will be critical in fostering a productive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with lesson planning and resource preparation for students

• Work directly with students one-on-one or in small groups

• Help implement and support effective classroom management tactics

• Assist in the marking of assignments that require no subjective judgment

• Communicate with staff, teachers, and parents to support education

Requirements:

• Must be aged 15-30 years and a registered Band Member of a First Nation

• Minimum of Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience in educational settings with children or youth

• Vulnerable Sector Check must be in process or completed

• Not attending school full-time, categorized as unemployed or underemployed
