Part‑Time French Teacher/Tutor

Employment Type:

Part‑time | Pay: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour |

Schedule:

Evenings (Monday‑Thursday, 4:00‑8:00 pm) and Saturday mornings (10:00‑1:00 pm)

• Teach up to three students at a time in a small‑group setting, using the provided curriculum and lessons.
• Conduct all sessions in French (in‑person).
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
• Support students in developing academic and study skills to improve their French proficiency.

• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to teach students at Grade 9 and up (Grade 12 preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (or fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience).
• Prior experience teaching/tutoring French to students in the Grade 9‑12 range.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask with up to three students at once.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Grade 9‑12 French core curriculum.
• Vulnerable‑sector screening mandatory.
• Relocation packages are not available – candidates must reside in or within a short commute of Mississauga.

  Monday to Thursday, 4.00 pm – 8.00 pm.
