Supply Educational Resource Worker in Schools

Support educational inclusion as a Supply Educational Resource Worker in the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board across Orangeville, Caledon, and Bolton. This casual role focuses on diverse student needs in a collaborative setting.

Your position will be vital in assisting students with various learning challenges and personal requirements. Working alongside the Special Education team, you’ll help develop and implement individualized support strategies. The role requires an empathetic approach as you interact with students, ensuring their safety and promoting their well-being and educational engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Special Education staff for student-centered strategies

• Attend to the physical and safety needs of students

• Support student mobility and independence with care

• Engage students in both individual and group settings

• Respond effectively to emergent and challenging situations

Requirements:

• Diploma in ECE or related field desired

• One year of experience with special needs preferred

• Physical capability for lifting and supportive tasks

• Training in CPR and crisis management may be necessary

• Police Record Check needed within six months
